Re: Help: MTP Device Scanning Very Slow
Had a great deal of trouble with synchronizing my Droid Bionic to MM. It was very slow for MTP and USB and had a tendency to either freeze or fail (sometimes partially, sometimes completely). I finally started pulling the microSD card out of the phone completely, putting it in a card reader and use ...

Re: Android sync through MTP takes a long time and often fai
Just as an update, I did an update yesterday that added about 40 new files to my device (using direct sync to card as before). As before, the device spent some time re-scanning the media on the device. It was a bit faster this time, but still not as fast as I would like. 40 new files is really not ...

Re: Android sync through MTP takes a long time and often fai
Well, I finally got around to giving this a try... I didn't have to do quite the prescribed amount of configuration, because MM picked up a good bit of it. All looked good at first, but then things hung up during synchronization... I got fed up and decided to go a completely different route: I shut ...

Re: MTP vs. USB Mass Storage
I see...
Okay. Well, I have 5 or 6 new songs in my library that I need to synch to my device... I guess I'll give it a shot with the current settings and if I run into problems, change everything over to the USB sync and give it a try.
Thanks so much for the information!

MTP vs. USB Mass Storage
I asked this question on a different thread, but I think it got buried in the rest of the question. I have a Droid Bionic that I am syncing in MediaMonkey using MTP (Droid calls it "Windows Media Sync"). It works, but is very flaky (fails frequently) and EXTREMELY slow. Of course, to be fair, I'm ...

Re: Android sync through MTP takes a long time and often fai
I might give that a try... though I find it very frustrating that I can't use MTP.
Are there any caveats to doing it this way? MTP is supposedly "preferred", though I don't really know why.

Android sync through MTP takes a long time and often fails
Okay. I've spend a ton of time getting my device (Droid Bionic) to sync using an admittedly rather large library (about 2000 files on my device, all mp3, and four playlists). It took about 4 sync attempts to progressively add my music to my device (the first sync managed to add 900 or so before it ...

Re: Problems syncing with Samsung Galaxy S II
I'm getting much the same mileage on my Droid Bionic... It's very inconsistent... sometimes it will sync correctly (though the final step -- which appears to be where it writes playlists -- takes a long time). Other times, it hangs completely or gives errors. I've had some limited success (enough to ...
