Zerogiven, Yes, in Linux I use Amarok, but I keep going back to MM. I have a dual boot system, but am trying to get away from rebooting and I would prefer to run MM on linux while I work there. In dual boot it is no problem to access the MP3 files from the Win drive. I use a "Shared folder" on ...

Hey Troopersbd, Thanks for the tip on VirtualBox. I recently switched to Ubuntu 7.04 from XP and the only applications I cannot easily replace are MediaMonkey and Quickbooks Pro 2007. I installed VirtualBox last night and have MM running in a Windows XP instance on the Ubuntu desktop. Great! I do ...

One suggestion to check. My apologees if you have already done this. This one got me on my XP install when I wanted to set up a shared DB install: Not only do you need to have the permissions set correctly for the MM.DB file, you also need the permissions set for the medicamonkey.ini file. I had set ...

Error in files to edit - unorganized tracks node

First - great program. I am a gold subscriber and have been using 2+ for months. I have tried each of the MM 3 alpha builds, the current one, Alpha 6, build 1050, is stable enough for me to run and test drive. Minor problem, but I don't see that it has been reported yet. When I choose the ...

Lek,

I have one suggestion, but depends on system you are using. I have experienced these kinds of problems trying to rip CDs from a limited account on XP. If you are using a limited user account, trying using a Administrator account and see if it works that way.

I have a question about this script, that I have not seen any comment about. Should this script work for moving a music library from a standard drive, like USB drive E: to a network drive, such as //WORK/JUKE BOX/ ? I can not seem to get it to recognize my network drives? Also, I am trying to avoid ...

Colin,

Make sure that under the add files/scan option that you have selected ALL the file types that you would like to scan into the library. From symptoms, perhaps MP3 is not selected. Also, under options general make sure that MP3 is a selected file type. Hope this helps.

Steegy,

Thanks a bunch. I love this script! The change to the trailing special character works great. Can't comment on exclusion list function , I have not used it yet, but I will try it out later.

Steegy, Pretty new member to the forums, I read a lot but don't post much. Recent MM Gold member. I have a problem similar to that experienced by KAZADHARRI - quoted below. I have tried many different settings, including the ones you recommend in a post to disable FASTNOWPLAYING and the CLEAR ...

At one level I don't really care if we group them and call them "monkeys". I do agree Media Primate does not work! Just commenting that the expected response gave me pause. I don't understand the comment about it "being lost internationally". Perhaps there is a pattern of calling all primates ...

Pick the monkey? and new user comments

I just registered for the forum and had to navigate an array of pictures and choose the monkeys. The problem was that two of the three monkeys were actually apes. I did choose correctly realizing that many people group all non-human primates as monkeys. However, as a biologist, I could have missed ...
