super slow ripping, why?
Hi - I'm ripping some old language lesson cds with about 14 tracks to mp3 56 kbs abr format. It takes over 30 minutes to do this. Can this be? Do I have an incorrect setting? Can I change the task priority for the transcoder in windows? Thanks.

Re: help sorting by filename
I tried sorting by hitting the filename tab but since the numbers in the filename string do not all have the same number of digits it sorts incorrectly like: 1,10,100,101, etc... I would need to have leading 0's in order to have all the filenames have 3 digits numbers. In the meantime, I'll try the ...

help sorting by filename
Hi - I've got a huge selection of progressive language lessons that have no track# but have the sequence number at the beginning of the filename field. I need to give them a track number. If I could sort the selection by filename, I could then apply the "auto track#" script to fill that in.. Can I ...

podcast for Itunes only on MM4?
Hi - Does anyone know how to subscribe to a podcast that seems to be set up for Itunes only. When I try and subscribe, it says that it can't find Itunes, etc... Thanks.

Re: quick question on Podcast control
hmmmmm - just tried subscribing to a new podcast under MM4 and then right clicking on the name under subscriptions and found the rules option. At the same time, the rules options for all the other podcasts became visible. I'm not sure if I reset something or it was just user error to begin with ...

Re: quick question on Podcast control
Ok - found global rules under options > ... but: when I click the podcast node on the tree and then click "subscriptions" it lists all the podcast files that have been downloaded. For example: if I have subscribed to "BBC RA3 Arts and Ideas" in the past (i.e. under MM3), it will list the 6 episodes ...

quick question on Podcast control
I really like most of the layout for podcasts in MM4 but I can't seem to find the old controls for each subscription that allow me to set how many I keep and the criteria for erasing old ones. Any tips?
Thanks,
Chris

unresolvable burn error
Hi - I'm trying to burn a track as a .wav (audio) file to CDs. The track is 1:28 long. Cd loads fine and steps through to the last step where it tells me it will have to span 2 discs. I click OK and get an error message "CD BURN ERROR: selected tracks cannot be accessed". File is an MP3 and plays ...

let "now playing" window dominate over "search"
Hi experts - right now with the default skin my "search" results fill the window and "now playing" is always hidden and must be brought up through the "view" bar. Can i reverse this such that "now playing" persists in the main window and "search" results come up in a smaller right sidebar? Thanks ...

Re: how do I output digital MM to USB
Thanks again Rednroll - I'm learning a lot from your posts. In my particular scenario, I'm trying to send the digital audio stream over a wireless connection to a remote DAC. Now presumably if the USB DAC were connected right to the USB port of the MM computer it would include an installable driver ...
