Re: Mediamonkey vs. Musicbee throwdown
Here's a few things I like about MM more so than MB... Tag Cleanup- I use Musicbrainz as well but the tag features, mainly available through third party are plenty flexible and I don't require anything outside of MM to clean up any tags. Tagging multi fields ie... mood/Occasion etc.. Again, atleast ...

Non-Standard Tag Mapping/Naming
In addition to full ID3V2.4 support and multi artist separator inconsistency... would be nice to be able to customize the names for the "non-standard" tags MM supports. This way we can have cross platform support depending on what we run and tagging consistency between file types. Or maybe full ...

Re: "occasion" tag
What MediaMonkey reads/writes is described here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index.php/WebHelp:About_Track_Properties/4.0 Thank you for that link. It got me reading more and doing a couple tests. Here's what I found. That page is incorrect. MM doesn't just write "COMM:Songs-DB_Occasion" to .mp3 ...

Re: "occasion" tag
music bee is a copy cat of mediamonkey why you using it? just use mediamonkey. 8) Not completely set on it yet. But it does have a lighter weight, more elegant and feature rich interface for playing and browsing. Was looking for something with basic playing and artwork display that my wife and kids ...

"occasion" tag
I use mediamonkey for the main management of my library on my PC. for the family PC I am playing with musicbee as the player. I've noticed that musicbee does not read the "occasion" tag the MM writes. I have both configured to use id3v2.4 tags. When I inspect in mp3tag mm is writing the occasion ...

Copy tags from one track to another?
I have a lot of tracks in mp3 that I am re-ripping to flac. Is there any way to sync tags between the old mp3 and the new flac tracks? Like rating, genre, mood, etc.. More correctly I guess it would be transferring tags from the mp3 to the flac tracks.

Re: Remove embeded artwork, use only folder.jpg
Option 3 seems to do what you need. Been trying everything I could think of. Here's what I'm getting. Use option 3 to delete artwork. Even if I have a folder.jpg in the folder no artwork will show in mediamonkey. If I copy and paste a new folder.jpg over the old one then it will show. I can even ...

Re: ID3v2.4
Many mp3 players don't read ID3v2.4 tags, but pretty much everything can understand ID3v2.3. This may have been true in 2008, but today, seven years later, no modern player has troubles with ID3v2.4. Maybe some outdated ones still ignore that format, but that's why the are outdated. No modern ...

Re: ID3v2.4
I agree that ID3v2.4 should be at least an option for people who prefer it. Sorry for this taking so long, it somehow slipped through, we'll look into it soon and try to get it into 5.0. Jiri Good news. At this point. I'd love to see full support for id3v2.4, conversion and clean tags tools. Needs ...

Re: ID3v2.4
I'd prefer v2.4 tags but would settle for the option to write a custom separator in artist tag. Just as it is capable in other multi field tags. I've read the devs remarks regarding both options over the years. I've been a gold member since MM 3 and holding out since then. Researching and putting ...
