Hey Peke,
Where can I look up the meaning of the code numbers for ActionId, ActionTypeId, etc? See code example with my original post.
There must be a glossary or list that describes each code number for an ActionId or ActionTypeId, right?
Thx,
denisova

how to convert video podcast to audio only
Question : How to convert an .mp4 video podcast to .mp3 audio-only? I use MM to subscribe to a video podcast (.mp4 format). I wish to listen to the podcast on a device that accepts only audio formats (.mp3, .aac, etc). MM provides several options for converting a video podcast to another video ...

Re: devices - can't move to top of MM media tree
Bummer.
But thanks for clearing this up. I suppose I'll need to develop a workflow that takes account of the fixed-at-bottom-of-tree location for devices.

Re: devices - can't move to top of MM media tree
No, a shortcut will appear in the Media Tree if a device is hidden from view. I don't get it. Would you rephrase? The 'shortcut' in the media tree, shouldn't you be able to move it up/down in options > library > media tree? For example, just as you can do with the Downloads item. If memory serves ...

sort order for autoplaylist – how to sort by comment field?
Question: I want to sort an autoplaylist by the Comment field. How might I do that? I have a bunch of .mp3 files containing historic speeches made by Winston Churchill. The comment field shows the date the speech was given, using this format: 1940-05-19 (for may 5, 1940). In my MM library, these ...

Re: media tree state - view at launch vs. previous shutdown
partial workaround, not fully satisfactory but somewhat useful: in options > library > appearance, enable 'always show the tab bar' add two or three tabs using the + icon near the menu bar – the tabs should now be visible near the top of the MM app window (i.e. near menu bar) for each tab, navigate t ...

Re: media tree state - view at launch vs. previous shutdown
Yes, MM does that now, i.e. launch with media tree focus in the same place you left the focus when MM last shut down. So if focus was on a deeply nested playlist, MM will relaunch with that one branch of the playlist hierarchy expanded just enough to show the in-focus playlist. In my library, I have ...

media tree state - view at launch vs. previous shutdown
Question : How do I get MM to launch with the same media tree state that existed when MM was last shutdown? I have a fairly complex hierarchy of playlists, etc displayed in the MM media tree. By the time I close MM, I usually have the hierarchy organized is a way that is useful to me, with some ...

how to backup custom hotkeys
Question : How do you backup custom hotkeys? I noticed that a file called " MediaMonkey.registry" contains a long list of hotkey entries like the one shown below (I'm running MM Portable mode). If MM hotkeys were lost or corrupted, could I use the .registry file to restore them? Would you simply ...

Re: hotkey for Playback: Next file - arrow keys won't work
Okay, thanks Lowlander. It's nice to have a clear answer. I didn't discover the link you posted in my playback forward/back-focused search strings. Btw, if you write a .vbs script and edit the Scripts.ini file as shown here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=41531 – you can assign ...
