Re: NEW! AutoRateAccurate 2.5 Beta 3 (13/01/2012) - for MM4

Awesome work on the 2.5 beta, I'm currently using Beta 3 of AutoRateAccurate and while I know others have had some problems with the installation I haven't received any error messages. I know you haven't been working on AutoRateAccurate all that much lately, but if you do still come around these par...

Re: Using Mediamonkey and Ventrilo simultaneously

Yes, I have. Still manages to transmit music over vent when I'm pressing the push-to-talk key (bound to my middle mouse wheel). Thanks though! Any other suggestions?

Using Mediamonkey and Ventrilo simultaneously

Hello everyone - Great job on MediaMonkey - hands down the best music library management software ever made! Now that the obligatory praise is out of the way, here's the problem I'm requesting help with. I primarily use my pc for two things: Playing music and playing online video games. Naturally, I...

Re: iphone 3g OS 3.0 (developer preview OS)

Thank you Jiri! Can't wait to get home and try it out!

Even if there are small glitches like album artwork etc. if it means I can update my music without losing my playcounts, I'm a happy camper.

Re: iphone 3g OS 3.0 (developer preview OS)

You're probably right. I think my iPhone came with 2.1 on it. But if they change the way the database on the device is encrypted, wouldn't it force an iTunes upgrade as well? Otherwise iTunes wouldn't have the new encryption scheme either. Or are they independent of one another? I know they l...

Re: iphone 3g OS 3.0 (developer preview OS)

That's a question that's better posed to Apple rather than the MM dev team - I'm sure they'd be happy to let us all know. Apple being so well-known for being forthcoming and all... ;) Seriously, though, it's entirely speculation on my part but I'm guessing they'll only make such changes at major num...

Re: iphone 3g OS 3.0 (developer preview OS)

It's because Apple thinks we are all lusers who can't manage our own devices. They like having the reputation of "you plug it in, and it works." So they want to control the entire user experience. /soapbox Back on topic, thanks for letting us know a solution is forthcoming, Jiri! I haven't sync'd my...

I would heartily suggest the Tagging Inconsistencies script. It won't actually delete the genre's but it will list the offenders and you can then delete them manually without TOO much trouble, although I guess that depends on your situation.

By "logged in", I think he is referring to your Windows XP or Vista logon, i.e. is it an Administrator account or is it a limited rights user account. By the way which Operating System are you using? That might make a difference.

I'll play around with this a bit, but when my iPod (2nd gen nano) experiences this issue, resetting the device via iTunes to factory condition always takes care of it. 'Course, it also erases all my music! Not such a big deal on my 8 gig nano but probably not a viable solution on a 160 gig iPod Clas...

Also if someone wonders about iPod Playcount Scrobbling Read Oficial FAQ on Last.FM In case it helps anyone out there, the best program I've found to scrobble iPod playcounts is a java program called Lastpod . EDIT=by the way, to give credit where it is due, it was a kind soul named gtbuzz on this ...

I'm guessing here but I suspect the Disc # tag is not properly implemented by Apple in the iPod firmware. Is it used by iTunes? If not, then you can bet it's not used by a stock iPod. I've used the Amazon.com tagging function built into Media Monkey, so my solution to this issue has been to follow w...
