Ignoring 'The' in Artist works .. why not in title?

Is there a reason, other than it doesn't do that, that 'the' and any other prefix entered are not ignored in Title (or series or ...). If i am looking for a film (or track) there are gazillion of 'the ...'. Easier if could just look at the *real* words.

So why are things like this just ignored. That is over 4 years ago and should be a nice enhancement. Yes it isn't a critical error .. doesn't corrupt data but there really hasn't been any time in 4+ years to work on this? Oh well
