F2 positions cursor at Pos1. Drives me crazy as end expected

Since some versions F2 (Rename) in any field or folder positions the cursor at the start of the field and selects the field.

Since ages I am used to expect the cursor at the end (and the whole field selected).

Is there a way to change this behavior back to Cursor-To-End.

I would not consider this to be critical, nor a bug; but it's the tiny angers that are thee needles into full satisfaction.

By the way: what was the reason to do that? Seems not to be Windows standard, or?
