I'd like to be able to load up the Now Playing window and then have MM play just a short extract from each of the tracks while I work. I could intervene if I like it enough to play it in fulI. Ideally the duration would be user-settable, but I'm thinking of say the first 30 seconds. (A nice additional touch would be to select two sections from each track, beginning and end.)
Is there any way to achieve that please?

Re: Play short SECTIONS of tracks?
Thanks, didn't know about that. However, it's a pretty heavy way to do what i was looking for. Every extract is physically copied to a set of subfolders in
C:\Documents and Settings\Terry\Local Settings\Application Data\MediaMonkey\Previews\
So apart from using a lot of space to duplicate content, it takes a very long time to prepare. About 2 seconds per 20 second extract in my first tests. That's not really acceptable for the spur of the moment thing I have in mind.
Also, I note that MM doesn't delete those empty subfolders when the Previews are deleted from the Previw node.
I was hoping maybe MM could somehow build a playlist and then time each successive extract. Perhaps a script?

Re: Play short SECTIONS of tracks?
Thanks guest, duly installed, looks great!
Presumably I can't play a section from both near the start and the end of a track?
Edit: Right now studying this thread
http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=143726
I also seem to have hit a bug. After a while (I think after using Shift+Enter to view info, and/or opening the SongReviewer settings while playing) I found that play was repeating, as if Continuous Playback had been toggled On. I'll read up further.
