I just upgraded to MM4 from MM3 (on a test machine). So far mostly all is okay but I have noticed one anomaly. There is one file in my library where MM4 doesn't display the album art (stored in the file). MM3 and iTunes both display it just fine. MM4 properties in fact shows that there is no artwork (even though there is). I tried re-adding the artwork using MM4 and it showed up briefly but then as soon as I changed views and came back to the original view (Music) it was gone again. After this, examining the file in iTunes showed that the art had been removed from the file. I re-added the art via iTunes and now MM4 shows it but I suspect that if I update any aspect of this file again via MM4 then the art will disappear again. This is most strange - it only affects this one file in my entire library!
Any thoughts on how to diagnose this? The file is an .M4A (ALAC) [as are most of the files in my library].
Thanks.

Perhaps you had the AAC plugin in MediaMonkey 3 and didn't upgrade to the MediaMonkey Codec Pack in MediaMonkey 4. I'm not sure, but that might be the source of the problem.

Re: MM4 wont save/display album art in some circumstances
I'm not aware of ever having explicitly installed the AAC plugin in MM3. My MM3 plugin list shows 'Media Monkey AAC Player v1.0' under Input Plug-ins; is that what you mean? If this is the cause then I would wonder why it doesn't cause problems for the thousands of other AAC/ALAC files in my library? Why just this one? All the ALAC/AAC files playback just fine. Seems to me a little unlikely that this would be the cause of a tagging issue affecting just albumn art in just one file.

In that case send the affected file to support, if it is larger than 2MB use a file sharing like dropbox and send add the link to your support ticket: http://www.mediamonkey.com/support/inde ... &_a=submit
