MM reseting mp3 file association

I'm currently running MM 4.0.7 and Windows 8 pro 64bit. For some reason, when I associate a mp3 file with MM, MM will start but than will remove the mp3 file association as soon as it starts. I than have to pick which program to use to start a mp3 file again. This only happens with mp3 files and MM. I can associate mp3 to foobar or winamp and everything is fine. But if I do it with MM, they get reset removed removed as soon as MM starts.

In settings/General/OS Integration have you got MP3s ticked for associated file types and have Re-associate file types on startup selected?

Yes, I have all that. I even deselected them and selected them all again. It didn't solve the problem.

It's a bug, Windows 8 changed the way file associations work. It will be fixed in MM 4.1.
