streaming radio gets caught in endless loop

Whenever I listen to any of the stations at somafm.com for more than 30 minutes, the stream eventually gets caught in an endless loop. The only way to stop it is to crash MM. I have never experienced it when streaming these stations through my stereo receiver or iphone. The looping happens on both WinXP and Win7 (64-bit) running MM 4.0.7.1511. I found an old thread here (viewtopic.php?f=1&t=41426) so it's not a new problem. Is there a solution?
