Hi,
I'm using MediaMonkey v4.0.7.1511 on Windows 7 x64.
Every time I use the 'Auto Organize' feature to rename any song anywhere on my computer, that song automatically gets added to the MediaMonkey library. Every time. Even when I don't want it to.
Is there a way I can disable this?
Cheers.

Re: Auto Organize Automatically Adds Songs To Library
It shouldn't do that. Are you sure you aren't moving the file to a folder that is monitored by MM?

Yep - definitely.nohitter151 wrote:It shouldn't do that. Are you sure you aren't moving the file to a folder that is monitored by MM?
Try it - get MediaMonkey to monitor just one folder. Then drag a song in from another folder and use auto-organize to rename it. Check your library and the song you renamed will be sat there in a folder not monitored by MediaMonkey.

If you drag a song into a Monitored Folder and then Auto-Organize the file it will be in the Library as it was added to a Monitored Folder. Any actions afterwards won't remove it from the Library.nanite2000 wrote:get MediaMonkey to monitor just one folder. Then drag a song in from another folder

Nope. I didn't drag the song into the monitored folder.Lowlander wrote:If you drag a song into a Monitored Folder and then Auto-Organize the file it will be in the Library as it was added to a Monitored Folder. I dragged the song into MediaMonkey's 'Now Playing' list. The song remained in it's original (non-monitored folder), and as soon as I use auto-organize to rename that file, it adds it to the library, despite not actually being in the monitored folder at any point.
Looking at the song details shows that MediaMonkey has added it to the library, but the song file path is still in it's original folder.
Try it for yourself.
