Re: codec pack
Sorry I cant find mmip file a, I have taken the full folder and put it in the MM folder but If i right click it asks me were i want to put the files once they are unzipped.Sorry to be thick but still lost
Thanks
Thanks
Re: codec pack
That's what I meant. Don't unzip, it is not supposed to be a .zip file. You may have to enable the showing of extension in Windows Explorer to see the .zip extension and to allow you to change it to .mmip.

Could you show me how to do this? You know, steps for clueless people.
Re: codec pack
In Windows Explorer you need to rename the file. You may need to enable the showing of extensions in Windows Explorer to accomplish this.

Hi, thanks for the response. I renamed in WE. Double clicked, it opened up all the files but doesn't do anything. But I've been able to do that prior to renaming it. Nothing happens. No install, nothing. As mentioned above, clueless here. Don't use computers. Doing this as I'm being forced into low quality compressed, crap sound digital music,Lowlander wrote:In Windows Explorer you need to rename the file. because that is all there is now.

That's because you didn't actually change the extension.Bones2112 wrote:Hi, thanks for the response. I renamed in WE. Double clicked, it opened up all the files but doesn't do anything. You need to first enable viewing of file extensions in windows explorer. How to do this depends on your version of windows, so you may want to google how to do it.
A better option would be to use a different browser to download the add-on. Internet explorer is the only one that will change the extension to .zip. Try Google Chrome or Firefox to download the file.

Re: codec pack
That's kind of what I thought. How would changing the name alter the content of the file? It doesn't. I'll google. When I looked through it, it looked like extensions were enabled. I'll look again.
Re: codec pack
A mmip file will not open to show you the contents, but instead install in MediaMonkey as an Addon. A zip file is just a compressed file.

I suppose I need a step by step instruction on how to change the downloaded file to a mmip since I only have IE and put it in to Monkey. If anyone has the time to indulge me.Lowlander wrote:A mmip file will not open to show you the contents, but instead install in MediaMonkey as an Addon. A zip file is just a compressed file.
