Now Playing Controls

Post by pyramidlake »

I am using 4.1 on XP, and accidentally turned off the "Now Playing" Controls. :(
How do I turn them back on again? Thanks.

Thank you.
Both Player and "Now Playing" are ticked (on).
Still no option to turn on Controls.

I turned them off because I could not "dock" Now Playing.

Went thru Help Notes and all Tabs thoroughly - 35+ years experience.
Went to Uninstall. Could not un-install. Froze after 2 seconds.
Re-installed over the top, and the Now Playing Controls came back.

Interesting ... the problem occurred using Aqua4 skin. Changed to MS default (no skin), and no further problem.

My problem is fixed, but the issue needs attention, both in the software and in the Help Notes please.

Thanks. Steve :D

When you tried to get them back, you clicked around "now playing" frame for right click menu > show now playing controls?
......menu was completely gone until you reskinned?

Can't be precise.
I re-skinned several times with no effect.
I noticed it was fixed after I reinstalled.

I'm just asking if right clicking around the "now playing" frame is how you tried to get player controls back with no effect.
I don't need to know all the names of the skins or how many times you reskinned.

.....because there isn't supposed to be an option for this in Options or the upper left MM menu. The option for it is in a right click menu
around "now playing" frame.
- just curious.

That's correct. No matter how many times I right-clicked in/around the Now Playing frame, the option to resume Controls was not there, until I re-installed.

Window elements including toolbars can be moved offscreen by users. The only solution is to reset the interface.
To reset completely you can close MediaMonkey and open the registry and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\MediaMonkey\Interface and delete the whole folder/key. This will reset the layout.
