So renaming the M3U in Windows Explorer to PLA doesn't do the trick?
It would really mean that Media Go uses some kind of own protocol to sync it.
To confirm, could you please do the following test:
1) Copy music+playlist using Media Go
2) Download the music and playlist from the device to PC (using Windows Explorer)
3) Delete the music+playlist on the device
4) Copy the music+playlist (previously synced by Media Go) to the same location on the device, but using Windows Explorer
=> this way we can confirm that plain file copy isn't enough to sync the playlist?
1. I changed playlist.m3u to playlist.pla, format changed, because icon of playlist changed too. But walkman does not see playlist.
2. I did test, tell me if did something wrong, I will do it again

1. Synced playlist to walkman. (songs transfers from pc to walkman automatically when syncing playlist, but if I had to transfer music and playlist separately, just say, I will do this test again)
Songs appeared in Walkman>Music folder, and songs appeared in separate folders (H>Walkman>Music>Artist>AlbumName>songname.mp3
e.g. H>Walkman>Music>Byrds>There is a season>song.mp3, H>Walkman>Music>Kiss>Crazy Nights>song.mp3 .
2. Dragged Albums from Music folder, and playlist.pla from walkman to New Folder on PC.
3. Deleted folders from Music folder and playlist.pla from Playlist folder.
4. Then I put everything back in Walkman.
In Walkman, Search>Folders , these music folders appear, but Search>Playlists it gives me the same error (No playlists available)
