Do Windows and iTunes recognize it and have you made sure it isn't disabled under Tools > Options > Portable Device Sync in MediaMonkey?

Hi goke313,goke313 wrote:Mediamonkey does not recognize my iphone....not able to sync
Mediamonkey 4.1.14.1811
iOS 10.0.2
iTunes 12.5.1.21
Windows 7 pro 64-bit
Isn't this the same issue as Crzcat had?
i.e. removing the 32-bit version:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\iTunesMobileDevice.dll
If removing the file doesn't solve your issue then please generate debug log (step 4b here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... ?f=6&t=341 ) and attach a link to it or send it to eSupport
And as Lowlander wrote be sure that iTunes 12.5.1.21 recognizes it and it isn't disabled under Tools > Options > Portable Device Sync in MediaMonkey
Re: iPhone iOS 10
I was still having difficulty getting MMW to synch with my iPhone it synced a few tunes, anf started giving me "unable to sync with.. messages. Based on what had occurred originally with my phone not being recognized because of the previous 32 bit iTunes installation, i went and checked for other 32 bit iTunes software. I discovered that you need to get rid of the 32 bit Bonjour service and replace it with 64 bit Bonjour. Now it's working great.Ludek wrote:Hi goke313,goke313 wrote:Mediamonkey does not recognize my iphone....not able to sync

Re: iPhone iOS 10
I have the same problem and have tried things listed above and still cannot sync to MM.
I'm running MM 4.1.14.1811. Originally, after OS 10 update, iTunes still recognized my phone. But MM threw up the error. I updated iTunes to the newest version and got rid of the error, but MM still does not see my phone. iTunes no longer sees it either. I've tried going back to the old version of iTunes and everything, but cannot get iTunes or MM to recognize my phone. Any suggestions? (I have an iPhone 5s if that makes a difference)

Hi,
Borrow different cable, do complete cleanup of Apple/iTunes on your system and install latest again.
Also while phone connected try to remove it from device manager and see if that fixes not showing on next connection?

Re: iPhone iOS 10
I think that on Windows x64 you need to install 64-bit version of iTunes.
i.e. ensure that all 32-bit components of iTunes or further Apple libraries (e.g. the 32 bit Bonjour service ) are removed and install 64-bit versions.

Re: iPhone iOS 10
What is the iPhone model and are you sure that you have removed iTunes 32 DLLs ?tabeswoods wrote:Build 4.1.14.1813 is still not recognizing iPhones with IOS 10+.
Mainly C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Mobile Device Support\iTunesMobileDevice.dll
iTunes 64 recognizes your iPhone fine?
If yes, then please generate debug log using DbgView (item 4b here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... ?f=6&t=341 ) and share with us to analyze it.
Thanks!
Re: iPhone iOS 10
Hi guys,
Same thing happened to me after doing the iTunes (12.5.3) & iPhone 6+ (10.1.1) upgrade.
I tried for days everything on this forum and still my iPhone did not show in MediaMonkey.
Finally I removed the Apple Application Support (32-bit) from the Control Panel Programs.
Then I deleted the Mobile Device Support Folder from: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\
I had to end some running processes that were in use.
So, since the iTunes is now 64 Bit I figured out having traces from the 32 Bit version would create some kind of conflict.
I believe someone mentioned this in one of the replies.
After doing that my iPhone finally appeared in MM

This worked for me in the case of an iPhone 6s which had recently been upgraded to 10.1.1 - delivered the two items mentioned above, rebooted and the device finally showed again in MediaMonkey. Even iTunes was not able to copy music files to the iPhone, so this was not MM's fault.morcsea wrote:Hi guys,

Re: iPhone iOS 10 not recognized in MMW [#13677]
using an IPHONE 5 and trying to get anything to work. Itunes randomly disconnects while in the middle of a sync. Am seeing that others reinstalled all the drivers and removed all the 32 bit drivers. will see if that works later. going to get some turkey first. thanks for the thread.

also will need to try this. my IPHONE5 is failing to synchronize at all. it only works with a few songs and them proceeds to erase all the other music. its acting really weird.wader wrote:This worked for me in the case of an iPhone 6s which had recently been upgraded to 10.1.1 - delivered the two items mentioned above, rebooted and the device finally showed again in MediaMonkey. Re: iPhone iOS 10 not recognized in MMW [#13677]
also it makes no sense that the ITUNES SYNC should fail both on cable (USB) and on WIFI. That sounds like a major software glitch in ITUNES. hoping the tips listed here in this message thread will work.
