iPod Shuffle 2nd Gen Incorrect Track Ordering

First off, this is my first post and I would like to say that MM is a great!

I am using MM version 3.0.2.1134 with the 2nd generation iPod Shuffle. The first thing I did when I bought this was use iTunes to restore the device; then I followed the steps in the MM help document for syncing songs with an iPod.

MM is set to auto-sync a playlist I created. I configured this in my iPod's device profile, under Auto-Sync list > Playlists. I have my playlist checked and I have the option "Sync random subset of selected Music and Playlists up to the device capacity" unchecked.

The synchronization between my playlist and my iPod work's great but I cannot change the order of the tracks on the iPod. The songs always play in the same exact order, no matter what settings I change in MM. When I use my iPod on the loop setting instead of the shuffle setting, it will play blocks of songs by artist together but it will not play the artists in alphabetical order. For instance, it might play songs from artist C before it plays the songs from artist A. I would like it to play the songs associated with artist A, then B, and so on...

When the tracks are being synced to the iPod, the status of songs show they are being synced in the order I like (artis by alphabetical order).

I have tried configuring 'Device configuration > Sync tracks' to (under the iPod's device profile) but this had no effect. I am not even sure if it would or not anyway.

So, in short, how can I get my iPod Shuffle (2nd Gen) to play the artists in alphabetical order after I have synced these songs using MM?

(bump) Same problem here, has anyone found a fix for syncing artist alphabetically yet?

I have the same Problem! I tested with firmware 1.0.3 and 1.0.4 on the iPodShuffle 2'd gen (and tested with several Versions of MM 2.5.5.998 - 3.0.4.1185)
Which version of firmware have you on the 2'd gen iPodSguffle?

Have anybody an Link to the Firmware 1.0.2 ?

so, it is really a bug of MM. With Sunbird (http://getsongbird.com/) it works fine! -i test it!

I hope the MM-Team will help us.
