Problems with new iPod Touch and MM

Post by lorirobn »

Hi -

I just received an iPod Touch (64g). I'd been using MediaMonkey successfully (fix 1191) with both an ipod and Zen, but it won't recognize my iPod Touch.

The new version of iTunes does recognize the device (version 9 got installed when I first connected the iTouch). But here's the sequence of what happened with MediaMonkey:
MM fix 1191 was freezing on opening the application. I changed the iphone DL's name as I read in a forum post, and that got MM to open ok. However, my device was not recognized/displayed. I uninstalled itunes and reinstalled it (read on another thread). Still didn't recognize my device.

I then installed MM Beta 3.1.2.1269. It opens ok - as long as my iPod Touch is not connected. The minute I connect the device, I get error: MediaMonkey Audio Library has stopped working.

Not sure how to proceed. I really don't want to use iTunes. Any suggestions?
Many thanks!

I had the same problem, I think there is some problem with 1269. Try to replace d_iphone.dll with the plugin at:

Did that work for you? Sadly, hasn't helped me.

No, sadly it didn't work for me, either. :-(

I had no choice but to use iTunes for my new device....ugh!
