Sansa Clip + Playlist Sync songs but playlist empty MTP

Hi, I have been using my Sansa Clip 8GB+ w/ SD card fine for some time. I recently upgrade to latest MM and believe the problem began with that. Now, when i sync my playlists the songs populate (and delete) also the playlist transfers overs but shows as empty. What am I missing? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Found fix just switch to MSC mode, force relative path and use extenede m3u... BAM works!

Make sure your Sansa is set to MTP mode (Settings>USB Mode>MTP) and then in Media Monkey click Tools>Options>Portable/Audio Devices>click on your Sansa then click Configure>Options>Playlists and check Force Relative Paths and Use Extended M3U.

Thanks from me too! I just got it last night, and only spent 5 minutes looking for an answer (before I came to MediaMonkey). Is there any chance that Sandisk will update their firmware, or maybe MM can do something?

I'm not sure what you mean or need with a firmware update. Mine works fine and I have never updated (a couple of my Sansas are at least 4 years old). I sync two of mine at least once a week, no problems whatsoever.

RFPacker - Sandisk does have an update - from 2011. I really meant, is there a chance MM will fix this? Also, is this addressed in the most recent update (4.1.3.1708)? (I can't find the info from this latest update.)

I have a new problem. I have a microSDHC card inserted. MM transfers the music and playlists but the playlists are empty. I tried 'Force Relative Path' but it didn't work. Any suggestions?

I don't know what fix you expect (it always works for me too). It normally is a user settings issue in the Device Profile.

As Lowlander stated, we are not sure how to help you, ours work fine. As far as the empty playlists go, make sure the playlist path is \Playlists\ in Device Profile>Options>click on Playlists in the left window. I also have Use Unicode checked even though I don't know what it means.

When I sync, even to a micro SD card, I auto-sync. Not sure if that's pertinent. My Clip is on firmware version 1.02.17A. I don't know if this is current or not and I will not update because mine works and updates tend to screw things up (I just looked up the latest version and it's 1.02.18 from 2012 and it doesn't fix anything for me). I've had success using .PLA and .M3U playlist formats, just make sure to change the Playlist Format and probably if you use .M3U you need to check the box .
