Media Server Appears & Disappears nonstop!

When I am running MM 4 Gold v4.1.14.1813, if I enable the Media Server - Tools, Options, Media Sharing on one of my two Windows 10 Pro PC's, the MediaMonkey Server will appear and disappear non stop (about once every 3 or 4 seconds) in the Network Media Devices section, it does not do this on my other Windows 10 Pro PC!
I cannot see anything different in the configuration between the two systems. Anyone have any suggestions on what to check or a possible cause of this strange behavior?

Same results with version v4.1.14.1830, the MM server continues to appear and disappear in the list of Media Servers. I am sure that it is some problem either with the configuration of MM on that particular PC, but I don't know where to start looking. Is it possible to transfer the MM config from one computer to the other? If so then I could copy the config from the working system to the one that is causing this problem and see if it fixes the issue.

Try to install MMW as portable on PC that works and set it up then Copy portable folder to other PC and start to see if the settings are problem.

Isn't this caused by the Windows 10 Creators Update?
Does it happen just for the MMW server or for the other servers as well?

I have the same problem. Noticed it now with w10 creators edition.
Im running MM as service, latest version of MM.

Serviio (latest version) works fine on the same machine.
I thought this could be a hw issue as windows computer mgmt has the same "blinking". However if MM is not running, no blinking there either.

More information: if I set up an openhome proxy that works ok also for mediamonkey.
so only "native" mediamonkey seems to be the problematic media device.

Thanks for the info, I entered the issue as http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=14196 and going to test on Windows 10 creators update to fix this.

What is special with my configuration? Perhaps that it has 2 NICs.
However changing the one to use in MM or putting it to automatic does not change anything.
Everything was fine earlier this year, may have been caused by creators update or it is something else.

I've just upgraded to the latest Windows 10 Creators update, but I am unable to replicate the issue.

Could you please do this test:
1) ensure that you have installed all recent Windows 10 Creators updates
2) Download and install 4.1.16.1832 from here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/beta/MediaMo ... _Debug.exe
3) Replace UPnP.dll from 4.1.16.1832 by this one: https://www.dropbox.com/s/at2t2n5tfhnuero/UpNp.dll?dl=0
4) Check whether the problem is solved

I have the same problem! MMW 4.1.15.1830, Windows 8.1, happens on both my laptop and desktop. Both PCs do have two NICs.

Hi,
I tried to add "virtual" adapters (NICs) so I have 3 NICs now and still cannot replicate the issue.

Because joshb is running on Windows 8.1 then it doesn't look like Win 10 Creators issue, but might be something related to the latest MM release?
