Resume playing when you plug in headphones
As an another addition - I like being able to have poweramp auto resume playing when I plug in my headphones again. MMA doesnt seem to support this function (or at least I haven't found it).

Re: Resume playing when you plug in headphones
The request is to resume playback when app is already running (and playback was paused (possibly because headphone was removed)). I've used this in another media player and it's a wonderful feature.

Suppporting this, preferably with a small (2-5s) backward time skip on reconnection. Thought I not feel this to be the most important feature to add.
External app doesn't seems to be the solution for me : it can't tell apart my headphone-and-mic set, which I use to phone, and my plain headphones, which I use to, er, listen music. Best solution would be to check if MMA is in the foreground (which can be done via Tasker, btw), and hit play only if it is. But since it's in the foreground, I guess MMA could do it by itself.

I'd prefer MMA to do it itself as well.

Re: Resume playing when you plug in headphones
+1 for me too, but for bluetooth.
Playerpro/stock music player, automatically start playing music when I get in the car if it was playing before.
Now I need to start it manually with MMA.

Having exact same problem - but glad I found the thread
Re: Resume playing when you plug in headphones
With the car/bluetooth issue, can you restart playing from the car's console?
I personally prefer to make restarting a manual decision. Restarting just because the BT connection is established would sometimes be really annoying.

Re: Resume playing when you plug in headphones
Ideally it would be an option.
Re: Resume playing when you plug in headphones
Its usually a feature that can be enabled/disabled in the option setting, but when its enabled it just works. Its great to be able to discretely plug back in and pick up where you left off.
Re: Resume playing when you plug in headphones
+1 on this for bluetooth. they already have a req for enhanced BT (and fixing), maybe it could be added to that?
Re: Resume playing when you plug in headphones
I've gotten half way there using automateit (another app that can trigger an event (opening MMA) off a trigger (plugging in headphones).
What I'm stuck on is getting MMA to start playing when its opened. Would it be possible to throw in an option for MMA to start playing the last track/playlist it was stopped on when started?
That'd be great, then I could use automateit or tasker etc to use MMA as alarm clock, timer etc
Edit: Actually what would be ideal would be a collaboration between the automate it and MMA developers so that automate it can access hooks and triggers from MMA - so automateit could start specific play lists, trigger events when a song finishes, or even when specific songs are played (text g/f hey I'm playing our song (ok perhaps not, but you get the idea)).....

@mcow
If MMA was foreground app when I got out of range and I press Play/pause in headunit MMA resumes playback.
@moonglow
Can you link app you use?

Re: Resume playing when you plug in headphones
As a few people on the link below note, there are other trigger/response apps, like tasker, but automateit is very very user friendly and the developer seems pretty responsive to taking on feedback and trying new ideas.
