Display glitch: "Now Playing List" icon always grey [#11312]
When viewing the Now Playing (track) page, there's a List icon to switch you to the Now Playing list. That icon is always grey, so that it looks disabled. I think it should be bright white like the other icons on the page.
It's been like this forever, still the case with 152.

Re: Minor display glitch: "Now Playing List" icon always gre
It occurs to me that this icon might be dim to distinguish it from the Add To List function, which has the same icon (and is shown full white like the other icons when it's enabled).
I also notice that the Now Playing List icon (on the Now Playing screen) is always in the same location as the Now Playing icon (on Now Playing Tracks and all the other screens).
Since the Now Playing icon is usually colored (album cover), maybe this Now Playing List icon could be in yellow instead of white.

I also notice that the Share icon, when it is disabled (e.g. for a UPnP track), it's much darker than the other disabled icons.

Hi mcow,
Re. the NP List/Track toggle, I prefer the current faded gray--yellow would stand out too much, I think.
Re. the greyed-out Share button, I can't seem to access it--it seems to be hidden in build 165 in cases where it doesn't apply.

I don't like the faded grey at all; I want to be able to see the icon easily. I agree, yellow is bright; but again, that same icon position holds album art when looking at Now Playing List.rusty wrote:Re. the NP List/Track toggle, I prefer the current faded gray--yellow would stand out too much, I think.
I still see it disabled, for UPnP play, in 165: both in the toolbar, when viewing Now Playing List with a selection, and in the menu, when viewing Now Playing Art.rusty wrote:Re. the greyed-out Share button, I can't seem to access it--it seems to be hidden in build 165 in cases where it doesn't apply.

I see the greyed out share button--thanks (I must have been looking within the UPnP list the first time). Tracked at:

If changing the color of the Now Playing List icon to yellow isn't acceptable, then how about creating a different icon? Maybe replace the middle circular dot with a now-playing arrow, but then make the whole thing bright white so it doesn't look disabled.
Here's two screenshots, one with the AddToPlaylist (and also the Share and SetAs) menu options enabled (on-device track) and one with them disabled (UPnP track). On the disabled page, the Add to Playlist icon (in the menu) is indistinguishable from the Now Playing List icon in the toolbar.
Also, you can see how uneven the spacing below the album art is. I have my system font size turned up one tick from normal, and that's why the album name is truncated—but all of that text is ridiculously small given the space around it, in addition to being uncentered. In landscape mode, the text placement is OK, but still too small.

Hi mcow,
Re. the off-center medata, I've entered that at http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=11343 . If you can tell me what device you're using , it'd be helpful.
Re. the disabled icons, they will no longer appear in build 168.
Re. the look and feel of the NP > List icon, we're not making any new icons right now, but if someone comes up with something good, I'm open to using it.

Off-center text should be fixed in build 174 (to be posted shortly).

I had an idea for a "now-playing list icon" -- it's the center item in this image.rusty wrote:Re. the look and feel of the NP > List icon, we're not making any new icons right now, but if someone comes up with something good, I'm open to using it.

I see this icon was redone for the 1.1 beta. It looks better with the slightly thicker lines, so that's good.
But it's once again grey. Grey means disabled.
