Going to WIFI sync causes it all to be sync'd again

I have always used usb sync as it has always worked for me. But to day I tried the wifi sync .. don't know why .. and after accepting on MMW etc it started to copy/sync all the items from the playlist again. It also asked me where i wanted to sync to.

1) why would it ask again, as i had been syncing correctly to external card, where to sync.
2) why would it re-sync everything?


I am unsure why this would happen. Thoughts

Check under Tools > Options > Portable Device Sync and make sure you only have 1 Device Profile. Is that the case?

For the phone .. yes only 'SCH-I535 - Card' is selected. 'SCH-I535 - Phone' is not.

And I now have a lot of duplicates. But the dups show UNKNOW artist <sigh> I thought this had been resolved back in 146

I tend to sync different tracks each sync. I don't see the Unknown issue with wifi sync on the current releases.

I can't replicate this, but I suspect that it might be related to content that was synced from MMW to MMA, then synced back to MMW (as a dup) and then synced back to MMA. Some such issues were fixed in 164 ( http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=11216 ), and other related items are being tackled at http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=11279 .

I had seen similar with 164 (or was it fixed then?) but then I was using just USB sync.

I had re-installed mma (newest beta) and mmw when this happened this time (first venture to wifi sync). I have to admit that I have been afraid to try this again but my venture out there next week when I am back from my trip.
