Volume leveling working? [#11924, #8911]
Based on my experience (ie: songs play at radically different levels), volume leveling done on the PC isn't being honored by the Andriod player.
I have unchecked/rechecked the option to use volume leveling on the phone, and releveled the tracks in MediaMonkey on the PC. Is anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions?

Re: Volume leveling working?
It seems to work well here. I sync/UPnP play files with just the leveling calculated (no auto-leveling on sync/conversion) and leveling enabled in MMA and most songs seem to play at the same level.

Thanks--based on some quick tests, it doesn't seem to be working in some cases. Following up at:

Re: Volume leveling working?
Hi,
This might sound like a stupid question, but... in theory, is volume leveling supposed to work when connected over Bluetooth?
It seems like when I'm connected to an external speaker, the difference in successive songs is very pronounced, like leveling isn't working (and it's enabled in the settings). Not sure if there's a difference if I'm connected directly to the auxillary port.

Re: Volume leveling working?
It works for me on internal speaker, headphone and bluetooth.

Re: Volume leveling working?
fyi, this problem occurred when pairing tracks that already exist on the phone with others that exist within MMW, and the metadata from MMW (such as volume leveling information) failed to update to the MMA library during the pairing process. This issue should be resolved in recent builds (e.g. it's fixed in 214).

Re: Volume leveling working?
Doesn't work at all for me.
To have a clear result, I reduced the volume of some test tracks by -30dB in Audacity and let MMW analyze the volume. Volume is fine in MMW.
Test 1:
Auto-Sync incl. conversion to MP3.
Volume is not levelled (=increased) in MMA.
Test 2:
Copy flac and mp3 files manually to the phone, delete from MMW. ReplayGain tags are present and correct in the file.
Volume is not levelled (=increased) in MMA.
Test 3:
Redo Test 1 with some new files (FLAC and MP3) and a new playlist, so there can't be any pairing issue with existing files in MMA.
Volume is not levelled (=increased) in MMA.
MMW 4.1.0.1692 (in portable mode)
MMA 1.0.4.0229 (on Samsung Galaxy S I9000, internal SD)
Auto-sync with d_WMDM.dll via USB.

For Me using above tests steps worked in MMA on both nexus 7 4.4.2 (2012) and LG L5 4.1.2 all tracks were leveled.

Possibly, send manual logs on tracks that you observe problem, previous and next that plays correctly. Than Copy Files from Device to PC and store in case we would need them for comparison.

Re: Volume leveling working?
Sorry, but I don't exactly understand what you mean. There is no track that plays correctly.
Additional question: does MMA level only auto-synced tracks, or manually copied audio files based on tag info as well?

Manual copied how (MediaMonkey involved at all?)? If MediaMonkey isn't involved I wouldn't be surprised it can't as Android Media System has poor tag support.
