SD card not available as a Libary in Options
My version: MMA 1.0.4.202
After sync with PC, all my files where transfered to my SD card. They are all visible under the file explorer of Android.
However, MMA in Options can't see the external storage. It keeps pointing solely to the internal storage. I have tried "scan new media", no way. All the music is avaialble in the file explorer - i can actually play it with the embeded standard Android player.

Could you please start MediaMonkey and send logs (Options->Send logs) and post log ID here ? Could you also write me here all your subfolders of your /storage/ folder ? You can use some file browser. Thank you.
Re: SD card not available as a Libary in Options
i think i am now nailing down better the real problem.
Device is a Huawei Ascend G510 running Android 4.1.1
MM for Android as of last version available on Google Play, that is 1.0.4.0203
Scenario is:
- Playlist created on MM for Windows
- Android device recognised in MM. It is creating 2 devices , from which is select the SD card device in the Device Tree
- I select the right playlist and run a sync
- the sync runs WELL and the songs appear Under the SD card (visible through explorer). They can also be run by another music player than MM by the way..
- BUT: MM for Android can't "point" to the SD card Music file. Ic can only see the intenal storage - which is empty. So the wrong thing is NOT the sync, but the fact that MMA can't point to the right media at Play time.
- attached:
1. the SD card filesystem shows about 7 songs in the Music folder of SD (i wish i could diplay photo here but i am strugling with this.
2. the MMA Library view, shows no option to select the SD card (no \sdcard1 avaialable, only the storage\sdcard0 which is the internal one)
any help appreciated..i have unistalled MMA and reistalled several times - does not fix the problem

Re: SD card not available as a Libary in Options
1) Use http://imageshack.us or similar to attach images to posts.
2) You should be able to select the SD card either in Folders on the main screen or in Choose Library Folders in the Options in MMA. Are you saying both methods fail for you?

Re: SD card not available as a Libary in Options
i think i am close to solve this problem.
In fact the Huawei is an Android 4.1.1 (i got it wrong for some reason in one of my previous costs) , while i have tested the same issue on my Samsung Tab 2, being an Android 4.2. Samsung works and displays the SD folder while the Huawei does not.
So it is clear the problem is related to some issue relate to MMA running on 4.1.1. As Android devices do not get refreshed too often, it looks like a problem with no fix date...

Re: SD card not available as a Libary in Options
i have verified the available folders in my device: Folders are:
sdcard0 (internal memory)
sdcard1 (my removable sd card)
sdcard1 folder has the following subfolders:
-Android
DCIM
Download
Music
Mediamonkey
Playlists
LostDir
it is clear that sdcard1 can't be read by MMA for some reason. As said previously, all other android players can see the SD card MP3 with no problem, and MM does sync with the SDcard folder. So the issue is with MMA.
Any more idea ? A

Re: SD card not available as a Libary in Options
Thank you for your logs. We already had some issues with Huawei devices because they often have incorrect config files. A workaround was added for your device so please try it. It will be available in next build (214 or later).
