Trying things out for the above bug, I tried playing a file I had deleted in the stock music player, but still appeared in MMA.
When I played 1 file, the screen started fading as if it was going to play it, then came back to the track list, not doing anything (reasonable, like it realized the track wasn't there, so, "oh well").
BUT, then I tried playing the NEXT file in the list (also deleted elsewhere), and MMA went black and stopped responding. Eventually I got the "MMA has stopped working" - I sent the report in.
Actually, multiple reports, as I keep getting crash reports.
FYI when I hit "Send" in the crash report, the notification bar flickers for a while over a black/blank screen - not sure this is relevant.
Now it seems I can't even get back into MMA without going straight to a crash.

UPDATE: Eventually, I was able to get out of the crash loop by not sending the report (ie I clicked "Ok" on the "MMA has stopped responding - do you want to send a report?" popup).
Now there are no tracks - could it be MMA was deleting metadata in the background, and that caused this and Bug 75233?
If so, MMA should block w/a pop while deletes are happening (or any long-running task that might alter the library state). Or at LEAST pop up a warning that this will happen in the background. But other operations should not crash in either case.
