Album Artists Shows Blank Entry

HTC One KitKat running MediaMonkey Beta, whenever I open "Artists and Album Artists" there is always a blank entry there that says "Unknown artist" with "empty" at the right side. It only appears in this category, not under artists or songs or anywhere else. I can't delete it, I've tried re-installing and clearing data, as well as manually removing the MediaMonkey folder from the internal storage and deleting all music from the phone. What is this null entry and how can I remove it? Thank you.

Hi,

If possible can you send us a copy of your phone's MediaMonkey database? It's located in the /MediaMonkey directory (for both Internal memory and SD card).

That may help us figure out what's going on.

As of the latest beta release, I have the same issue here... I'm running AT&T Galaxy Note 3 with android 4.3

1 completely empty folder with "unknown artist".

and my old nagging issue of album art only displaying when viewing the album is back....

Album art is gone when playing individual tracks

oh well, that's why they call it "Beta"

would the file that you want e-mailed to you have a .db extension on my android?

Hi, was there a resolution to this problem? I'm having the same issue now in the non-Beta app on a Google Nexus 4 running Android 4.4.4.

You may have to start with a clean slate in MMA if this problem was resolved.

I deleted everything from my MMA library, made sure all the files were wiped from the phone's internal memory, uninstalled and re-installed the app, then added things back to my library. The phantom unknown artist was gone at first, but I just noticed it's back and have no idea when or why. Anyone have any clues?

This could be that some of files have filled both Artis and Album but Album artist was empty and MMA file that as unknown.

Note: this was tracked at http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=12677, but the issue has been closed as we can't replicate and don't have an user databases that illustrate the problem. If it occurs for you, please report back and send us a copy of your db.
