Playlist Sync Error via USB and Wifi [#12009]

Post by greenblack3000 »

Hello,
I am having problems with syncing my Playlists from my Windows PC to Phone both USB and WiFi Sync.
I have MMW 4.1.1.1703 and MMA 1.0.4
My device is HTC ONE M8 on Verizon
I am syncing to Internal Memory of the Phone

Everytime I make changes to my MMW playlists and sync via USB or WiFi, there are duplicates in my MMA. For Example, If I have a auto playlist on MMW called "Top 50" and I change some rules for it and new songs gets added, there will be 2 "Top 50" on my MMA. I have to manually delete one of the playlist. Also several time, some of the playlists from MMW does not show up on MMA unless I sync it several times. Syncing it multiple times solves the duplicate playlist issue as well but it takes several tries. I mostly sync via USB but I have also tried via WiFi, same issue exists. Thanks in advanced for help.

Are you syncing to internal memory or external SD card?

Then I suggest you send a log from MMA (from About) right after sync finishes.

Hi,
Sorry I took so long to post the log, I was out of town for the past few days. I just came home and synced via WiFi and I have duplicate playlists again. I have submitted the log and here is the ID: KVWLK2O41B. Thank you.

Hi, you have two storages: /storage/emulated/0/ and /storage/ext_sd. 4 playlists are for some reason on both storages. So they are not duplicates but they are copies. We are syncing our DB with Android DB and this DB contains these playlists. I do not know how they appeared on the second storage. You are using HTC One M8 with Kitkat so your external card is readonly for MMA and other third party app. Am I right ? Maybe some sytem app copied them. Could you please check /storage/ext_sd/Playlists folder with your system Folder browser app and delete these playlists ?

Hi,
The playlists did not end up in the second storage because I used my internal storage for all media monkey contents. I simply had copie of each playlists. I have resolved the issue by making sure ther is a check mark on the option to delete all existing media content on portable device when syncing. Once I enabled that, the problem is fixed and I no longer have duplicate playlists. Thank you.
