Hello,
Have a rooted Nexus 7 2013 4.4.4 w/ Timur kernel (for car installation), and using USB OTG for a 1TB FAT32 formatted external drive.
Using the latest beta 1.1.0.0335, MMA is no longer able to see the External Storage libraries. If I revert back to latest release 1.0.7.0311, it shows up and plays fine.
I'm using ES File Explorer and USB OTG helper. it's mounted as /storage/sdcard1. I can write and erase files on it from ES without issue.
Poweramp also reads the storage and plays fine.
Unable to see external storage (1.1.0.0335) [#12335]

Hm, just adding to it.. I had to switch my USB enclosure, and now the drive detects in ES either as /storage/UsbOtgDrives (if I use USB OTG Helper), or /storage/sdcard0/usbStorage/sdb1 (if I use StickMount.)
Neither of these show up folders show up in MM as external storage (the latter for obvious reasons, sdcard0 is considered internal storage.) And with internal storage, I'm not able to select a destination folder for sync.
I'm going to try and see if I can create symbolic links to put me back to /storage/sdcard1.
EDIT: I figured out that with my drive formatted as FAT32 I didn't need any external mounting app. But my N7 is finicky about mounting /storage/sdcard1 - seems to only do it waking up from sleep mode, not from cold boot.
I also have an issue where MM sees the storage but claims it is read only and refers me to a platform.xml fix. I did it and it still persisted, until I wiped the cache on MM and started over. Hopefully this behaviour doesn't repeat itself..

Could you please send me logs from your device. Please go to About dialog->Send logs and post log ID here. Thank you.

So You already see the external storage at /storage/sdcard1 ? If not, please send the logs.ninja6o4 wrote:Hm, just adding to it.. Btw. the type of storage is unfortunately cached. And you have to update MMA to new build or reinstall MMA to recheck the storage.
