Hi,
It would be useful to be able to have an intent or activity to automatically open and play a certain playlist (and say jump to a specific song within it would be pretty awesome, timestamp for the song would be so much closer to my idea). Also to allow jumps to the DLNA streamed lists would be good.
Another, which I think is on the list of features to implement, would be an intent for sync.
edit: also it gives no indication as to when the autosync happens? would be nice to have some idea of how/when it happens.
edit: ok so seems its only for when 'connected', guess this doesnt work much for wifi sync? be good to have a periodic/nudged sync for that.
Also, why is there no shuffle option when in portrait mode? have to put it into landscape to get. (assume I'm missing something)

AutoSync progress is shown in the statusbar in MediaMonkey.

Ah I meant more like how often it tries to sync. e.g. does it try sync every 5 minutes? in which case It'd be good to be able to provoke it. (ofc if there was an intent could just set up an auto task to prod it however often you wanted, but is a bit of a work around).Lowlander wrote:AutoSync progress is shown in the statusbar in MediaMonkey.

Only when you connect your device (if enable to AutoSync on connection).

ahh okay, so wifi sync doesnt have an auto sync then? Guess they should add that (if not planned).Lowlander wrote:Only when you connect your device (if enable to AutoSync on connection).

How 'bout 'dem Intents for opening/playing a playlist?
Re: Play playlist or stream intent/activity
You can already save a playlist shortcut to the home screen. Wouldn't that meet most of your needs?

Atm I've got a script on PC to save the nowplaying as a playlist, with a workaround that the currently playing song gets stuck at the front.
I've got an NFC tag on my speaker, so I wanted the ability for that to open and play this nowplaying list, from my PC, on my phone. (this is where its useful to have on going sync so they stay together or stream).
I was maybe thinking in the future to be able to get it to send a message to my PC to stop it playing as well, and if you could play to a certain second the switching would look awesome. (touch your phone, sound stops on PC and continues on your phone). But atm was settling for same song, but hit the issue of not being able to trigger a list AND play (except I guess bodging a delay.)
Also think its part of the google search intent tie-in for playlists, so if you aim for that might have to do the work for it anyway.
Re: Play playlist or stream intent/activity
ahh two years too late I see.
edit: though the expansion of intents prob pushes it along a bit, with the prevalence of tasker and NFC now as well.
