MMA Doesn't See Added Music [#12686]

I'm on MMA 411.

Maybe I am doing something incorrectly, but I just downloaded tracks to my phone using the Amazon app. These tracks were deposited in the "music" folder of the internal storage of the phone. I have double checked that they are there using a file explorer. Then I went into MMA and made sure that it was checked that MMA should look there for music, and I even hit the button to rescan the library.

No matter what I do, these tracks do not appear in MMA. How do I get this to work?

The tracks appear in PlayerPro.
I am on an HTC M8.

It seemed like MMA was ignoring the folder altogether, which is strange since it is directly in the "Music" folder.
