Sync failure when SD card encrypted [#13216]

Post by Tavinium »

Upgraded my phone from to Galaxy S7 and this time decided to encrypt my SD Card.
Found that MMA will not sync to the SD card when encrypted. Get Sync Error notice as soon as it tries to write.
After multiple tastings, found that decrypting the card brought back normal sync operation.
When allowing access to encrypted SD Card, got and error and MMA crashed, which I missed the first time due encrypting post first sync. No Access error or crash when SD card is unencrypted.
Any thoughts getting the SD card access and MMA working together? Or not possible?
Would be nice, given other data is kept on the card.

Cool thanks.

FYI I was trying the app 'FolderSync' to sync data to the SD card as well. Seems to encounter a similar issue with encryption. Perhaps a problem with Marshmallow.

Thanks again for the reply.

Could you please try to sync a few tracks (1 album) to encrypted SD card and send me log right after the sync. Go to About dialog->Send logs and post the log id here. Thanks

Hi,

We've just posted a beta build (1.3.0.691) to the play store which fixes this issue. Can you please give it a try and confirm whether it solves the problem for you?

Thanks.
