Syncing MMW Gold and MMA Pro (nested AutoPlaylists)
I have been having fun trying out nested AutoPlaylists in MMW(Gold) - (love it!)
But, all excitedly, I go to MMA and using Rusty's method (Android Options button > Options > WiFi Sync > (choose location) > AutoSync server content)
I can see and select from the nested APLs perfectly.
However, once synced, there is no such lists back at the MMA Main Page where I would expect to be able to select from the deepest playlists.
Is this not yet implemented, or have I missed something?
Thanks,

Hi Lowlander
I can see them nicely displayed in the deep place mentioned above, but, back on the MMA home page > 'Playlists' only shows the names of the APLs that are in the root of the Playlist tree of MMW.
I can confirm that the tracks have gone to the mSD card. I just can't choose them effectively in a playlist.

Re: Syncing MMW Gold and MMA Pro (nested AutoPlaylists)
There seems to be a confusion on where things are done.
From the Home screen > Playlists has nothing to do with syncing, this is just navigating synced content. MediaMonkey will automatically create the same sub-folder navigation on wifi sync as in MMW.
In the Device Profile in MMA where you setup sync settings you should be able to navigate the Playlist folder structure as on MMW and select whichever sub-Playlists you want. Selected sub-Playlists should have a checkmark whereas unselected Playlists with a selected sub-Playlist should have a square infill.
So far you seem to be talking about the Home screen which is what the responses are about.

Re: Syncing MMW Gold and MMA Pro (nested AutoPlaylists)
Thanks for persisting with this Lowlander.
I have been driving for four hours and now cannot dig into the MMA device settings to check exactly, not being connected to the server (MMA won't let me dig in to check).
However I am understanding your suggestions and am not confused (this time!!) - thanks.
The following is possibly what has happened:
At first I used the 'Android Options' > 'Options' MMA WiFi settings to choose all of the 3rd level APLs by simply putting one tick in their associated 2nd level box above them. This, it turns out, was a mistake because it also caused all of the 2nd level APL instructions to be taken literally and masses of files soon choked up the mSD card (and caused some weird MMA behaviours that caused me to suggest that this 'full card' event should be checked by the dev team) . . .
Realising what had happened, I tried again, this time making sure that the 2nd level APL was NOT ticked. It allowed me** to tick the 3rd level APLs and they subsequently synced as expected (ie the tracks can be found by looking via TRACKS or ALBUMS etc, but not by the PLAYLIST main menu button.
** I am pretty sure that I entered the third level, ticked all of the 3rd level APLs one-by-one, then retreated. I possibly unticked the blob as I retreated. If so, then the files should not have synced!
Perhaps I have not left it on the 'blob' setting? I certainly did not want to waste more hours undoing another similar mistake. When I saw the files, I assumed that I could select them via the Playlist button, but when I tried: the APL names were/are not there!
Certainly feels like an area that needs a bit of an interface tidy up to stop others falling into the same trap. I'm sorry that I am unable to follow through and confirm that changing to a blob type of select might work for me.
We must be due for a new release soon and hopefully these conversations are helping to tidy things up as different ones of us encounter such odd behaviour? Not all is lost though, on this trip our vehicle does not have a Bluetooth interface so I could not have enjoyed the music by playlists anyway.
Cheers,

Back home now, and carefully checked MMA and can confirm that the blobs are in place at level 1 and level 2, and all three APLs at the deepest (3rd) level are ticked. When I sync, then [Playlist] at MMA's home page, I caught a glimpse of the top level APL name once, then it vanished. None of the five APLs show (I'd only expect the deepest three).

Re: Syncing MMW Gold and MMA Pro (nested AutoPlaylists)
After further fiddling it has begun to work exactly as suggested!
It would be a good idea to review the log still as I am certain that it was not working as discussed - very frustrating - there will be a bug that might be discovered in that log.
I have made many adjustments to the synced tracks today (mostly to filenames and album-art) on MMW but I don't thing that flushed out the problem. I certainly have not been adjusting or even using the APLs today.
However, several of the APL names have unusual characters like this ж to control the order that they should list in (that char comes after Z, as does Ω which I love as it looks like headphones). Anyway I just removed one ж and tried again and noticed that it was working at last. However one of the remaining APLs that became visible also used the odd character so I realised that it was not likely that that was the reason at all, and put it back the original way with ж. It still works properly - tolerating the odd characters!
Now that it works I can see that it needs more finesse in the finished product. It would be good to be able to have tabs for Album/Artist instead of just a list of tracks. No doubt these things are already in the enhancement list, or perhaps in beta. I look forward to seeing a new release soon.
