I think the uninstaller ought to offer to remove user files.
E.g. I uninstalled 3.1 (1212) to revert to 3.0 (1190) accepting that user data would be incompatible, but having got no offer to remove the user files and not digging into wherever they are kept, on start-up I got:
Cannot load query data: Could not find condition ID : 209
an more similar, and then one attempting to clear the library:
There was a problem querying the database:
Error executing SQL "DELETE FROM Songs
" : no such module: FTS3 (1, 1)
and more similar, then Add/Rescan gave an Access Violation.
Not user friendly at all.

I agree, the uninstaller should offer the user to remove any and all traces of MediaMonkey. I understand that by default it might be disabled in the uninstaller, but it should be an available option. This has been requested a few times before btw.

Ah, I missed that. Including on the Official Wishlist. If it is there...Lowlander wrote:This has been requested a few times before btw.

I'm sure you're right. But the devs have heaps on their plate already. If you keep the two installations separate (3.0 and 3.1), as advised, is it still an issue?

Yes - regardless of what version you are installing the database location and user files are put in the same place.MM3 monkey wrote:I'm sure you're right. But the devs have heaps on their plate already. If you keep the two installations separate (3.0 and 3.1), as advised, is it still an issue?
