Song Start / Song End tags or plugin?

Concerning live recordings, it would be nice to tell a song that the music stops with, say, 01:39 left in the track, and go ahead and play the next track. Or that there is 45 seconds of tuning before the music on a track, so you could automatically have the song start at :46. You get the idea.

I know you can do something like this with the virtual CD, but that's impractical.

Anyone know of anything?
