forward and backward mouse buttons

I've got a Logitech M305 Mouse with a 4-way mousewheel. Clicking the Mousewheel to the side is programmed with Logitech Setpoint Software to go forward and backward. It works fine in browsers like Firefox and MS ie. Also works in the Windows explorer of WinXP. But it doesn't work in Mediamonkey. I don't know if it's a feature that would have to be implemented, or a bug? I'd love to use it there. If I set the action to next and previous track in Setpoint, it would do so in Mediamonkey. Is anyone else using a Logitech Mouse with extra buttons configured with Setpoint, to check if forward and backward is working there in MM?

It's working for me with Logitech MX Revolution.
I have set the buttons to ALT-Left (arrow) and ALT-Right.
