I'm trying to set up a filename filter so that my compilation albums show up as VA - Mixname\## - Artist - Title.mp3
Which is a popular one (as opposed to the full 'Various Aritsts' title.
If I do this in the auto or by right clicking on a file and entering this in the box, it still results in "Various Artists" in the output.
$Replace(<Album Artist>, "Various Artists", "VA")
Expected behaviour: Should read 'VA' instead.

Doesn't work in MediaMonkey 3 either.

It's working fine. Just remove the spaces and quotes:PhYrE wrote:$Replace(<Album Artist>, "Various Artists", "VA")
Code: Select all
$Replace(<Album Artist>,Various Artists,VA)Re: $Replace doesn't work in Auto-Organize Files [#7603]
Wow-Thanks!
Works-
Looks like the documentation just needs updating to reflect the format properly, noting that spaces and quotes are unnecessary/bad.
Sounds like a help-file issue now.

Looked in the help file but did not see any instances where quotes or spaces were used in examples:PhYrE wrote:Wow-Thanks!

Re: $Replace doesn't work in Auto-Organize Files [#7603]
Due to its similarity with VBScript where quotes would be required its easy to be confused.
