Horizontal Scrolling
I can currently use the scrollwheel on my mouse to scroll vertically, but not horizontally.

Re: Horizontal Scrolling
How are you not able to do so?
I can scroll horizontally when the list has no vertical scroll.

Re: Horizontal Scrolling
When I use the scrollwheel normally, say in the file list, it scrolls vertically without any problem. When I tilt my scrollwheel to the right, it doesn't scroll horizontally. Nothing happens.
I can click the arrow on the horizontal scrollbar and that works, but tilting the scrollwheel on my mouse doesn't work.
EDIT: I can use the scrollwheel normally to scroll horizontally when there is no vertical scroll as well. When there is vertical scroll, this obviously scrolls vertically. I propose that tilting the scrollwheel to the right/left should control horizontal scrolling.

Re: Horizontal Scrolling
I don't have a tilting scrollwheel to confirm.

Re: Horizontal Scrolling
Hi there, I have a tilt mouse and I can confirm horizontal scrolling with tilt does not work. A lot of applications don't support this so it doesn't really bother me but it would cool to have it if it could be implemented.

Re: Horizontal Scrolling
I've never cared about this...until now. When using a netbook with a small screen, there's a LOT of scrolling to do. Vertical scrolling is a breeze, 2 fingers on the touch pad and there it goes. The same 2 fingers moving horizontally does scroll in some applications, but not Mediamonkey.

Re: Horizontal Scrolling
Note for developers: It'd be a good idea to forward messages (WM_MOUSEWHEEL, WM_MOUSEHWHEEL) from the Hint Window to it's Parent Window. This way when the hint window is displayed, vertical and horizontal scrolling will work from mouse wheel/tilt or track pad mouse gestures.

Re: Horizontal Scrolling
Thanks for the link Lowlander. However, even after reading the Notes on the issue, I still think it's because the WM_MOUSEHWHEEL message isn't being handled properly. The fact that it works in so many other applications (but not MM and some others) is the clue.
Re: Horizontal Scrolling
Any update as to whether Horizontal mouse scrolling will be added in the future?
Re: Horizontal Scrolling
+1
It probably hasn't been seriously looked at since 2011. Though, it would be nice to find it as a surprise/hush feature in MM5.
