Hi.
I'd like to request a feature when naming files during organization: AutoNumber of Duplicates.
The idea is similar to when you copy a file in Windows.
The first file is named "myFile.txt" The next file is named "myFile - Copy 1.txt" The next file is "myFile - Copy 2.txt" etc...
The idea is that - if a duplicate file is found - it should be "organized" with a "COPY" tag (or simply the dupe number.)
So this way, if I have a slew of files with unknown Artist and Title fields, I won't end up with one file named Unknown - Unknown, but rather a slew named : "Unknown - Unknown - 1" or "Unknown - Unknown - Copy 1" (or "Copy 27" or whatever.)
Ideally, the field would be self-conditional based on the pre-existence of another file by that name. (I wouldn't want the ORIGINAL file having the "Copy 1" tag attached to it; only duplicates.)
If this is scriptable, I'd love to know, but I'd love to see it included as a standard feature in an upcomming release.
Thanks -

As this ties in with something I'm looking for, but in reverse, I've added it to the following Mantis entry: http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=8745
