Right-Click to show album image [#9020]
In MM3 you could right-click on an album image to show the full-size image... pretty much anywhere the thumb/image was shown this worked. In MM4 this option is gone. Why would you take that out? Sorry, but I was shocked to see that missing...

Not sure where that is...
I don't see the command "Enlarge Cover" in any part of the UI that I use that shows album art (now playing, art & details view) - so even if it is somewhere else, I don't really want to have to learn an entirely new way to use the product to get it back (that would be a much more drastic change). BTW, not intending to be rude - just pretty disappointed... took me about 2 minutes of using MM4 to miss that feature, I hope I don't discover more...
Re: Right-Click to show album image
You can't anymore, you'll need to use the Art & Details window to click on Art to enlarge.

I can do it from song properties too... but my "wish" wasn't to find out where it's moved to, my "wish" is to put it back where it was since I started using the product years ago...

I have to share my disappointment in seeing this simple feature removed. IMHO, Art & Details displays redundant information and adds clutter to an already busy GUI.bjm051593 wrote:I can do it from song properties too... but my "wish" wasn't to find out where it's moved to, my "wish" is to put it back where it was since I started using the product years ago...

Re: Right-Click to show album image
With my preferred setup of showing album art with details in the main tree + monkeyrok, having art & details is rather redundant where the possibility exists that I'll have three album covers showing at the same time. I use monkeyrok to show the album cover of whatever is "now playing" and scroll through the main tree using the view of "showing album art with details" when perusing through my albums. I'm just wondering why the right click function was eliminated rather than kept, as it is hard to predict every single use case out there.nohitter151 wrote:You can customize/remove the details part...theta_wave wrote:I have to share my disappointment in seeing this simple feature removed. I hope not, I haven't found any workaround that isn't an order of magnitude harder to get to... do we need to do anything to "formalize" it?

Re: Right-Click to show album image
I really don't understand why this is missed. You can enlarge art just by clicking on it. Why is that one-click action not preferred to right-click > enlarge art which requires more mouse clicks and more precision?

Re: Right-Click to show album image
I don't see this in the Art with Details view in the Filelisting. Clicking on Artwork does nothing here. In MediaMonkey 3 right click gave View full size, whereas MediaMonkey 4 seems to have no way of doing this in the Art with Details or Art views.nohitter151 wrote:You can enlarge art just by clicking on it.

Re: Right-Click to show album image
To add to what lowlander said, here's a picture of my setup:nohitter151 wrote:I really don't understand why this is missed. You can enlarge art just by clicking on it. Why is that one-click action not preferred to right-click > enlarge art which requires more mouse clicks and more precision?

I run mediamonkey from a laptop that has a screen resolution of 1280x800, so I try to economize as much space on my screen as possible. So, I don't have space for the "art + details" panel if want to be able to have minilyrics running and use monkeyrok to browse through an artist's discography or read an album review. If I add "art + details," it would add one too many items on an already constrained area that it will make browsing through my playlists or flipping through monkeyrok an unpleasant experience, especially if, on a whim, I simply want to check out a cover from an album that isn't currently playing (1) while scrolling through a node. I use monkeyrok to bring up the album cover of the currently playing track (2).
Now, with "art + details" enabled, which I do not desire to use:
Notice how monkeyrok lost considerable space, which makes scrolling through album reviews, other albums, etc, more laborious. If I move the panel to the other side now the media tree window is squeezed, thus making scrolling through the different nodes much more of a headache. Notice the wasted pixels (red arrows), which is understandable if one wants to keep the aspect ratio of the cover, unchecking this setting stretches the art out making it unsightly. If you argue that I could save screen real estate by making the "art+details" box smaller, then I'll answer what's the point? If I squeeze it down, it'll resemble the album art size under the fileview "show art with details" with the same loss of horizontal pixels. So, now I will have three points of reference for album art, two (or three) of which are identical in size, two of which allows album art to be viewed. Don't you think this is rather redundant?
I'm not advocating that my setup is the model. Nor did I want to write a thesis on this issue. I just desire mediamonkey to remain flexible for a variety of use scenarios.

Re: Right-Click to show album image
You can enlarge the art in the art with details window, isn't that what this discussion is about?
The behavior is different depending on which tab is selected, but it works fine like described here:
