resume song position?

Post by cochese »

...here's my first post to the forum. ...it's a simple one...

Is there a resume play function in the player (resume at last song point)? I'm very new to mediaplayer & hope I have overlooked this function - although I have the feeling I haven't. I did a search in the forum without any meaningful returns.

If this ability isn't in the program yet, I may have to make a post in the wishlist area!

P.S. ...I'm at work now, so I can't try it myself, but if I use another player like winamp (that has a resume plugin) will this work in mediamonkey?

This has recently been requested and the developers where positive about it.
As for the winamp question, i dont know but go ahead and just test it! If it is a winamp2 plugin it also might work directly in MM.

A winamp plugin might work with MM if placed in the Plugins folder. If not, a script could be written to store the current track position in the .ini file (the current song index already is) and automatically play on startup. Not sure about how you'd save the position value on exiting though.
Download my scripts at my own MediaMonkey fansite.
