MMW & MMA auto-synch not the same re delete locations

I have MMA, and it is configured as follows:
* synch to this location
* auto-synch device content
* delete unselected content copies
* delete all unselected content

If I trigger a synch from MMA it seems to just delete items from /sdcard/Music

But if I usb connect my tablet (Nexus 7) to the PC, and then select auto-synch from the tree in MMW, it tries to stray outside MM territory
ie. it tries to deleted from /sdcard/PocketCasts/podcasts

Is this as designed?
Why would auto-synch operate differently depending where it was run from?

I wouldn't want MMW deleting podcasts, which are are being downloaded, and purged by the PocketCasts application on my tablet. Any way I can configure to achieve this?

It should delete only files configured in <Device> -> Options -> File Locations
If it wants to delete files from other locations then it is a bug, I am verifying it.

I cannot replicate, it tries to delete files only from Music and Video folders as configured in <Device> -> Options -> File Locations

Are you sure you haven't added the PocketCasts folder there?

Ohh, sorry, my fault, I haven't selected "All other media files" in the "delete other files and playlists" location.
