I have again done a fresh complete reinstall, with MMW 1670 and MMA 182. Synch'd over several large, static playslists and several albums (which were selected under Album Artist). After listening to one of those albums, I de-selected it and sync'd. The album was removed, but it still shows up in the auto-playlist of "synced to tablet".mcow wrote:I did a fresh complete reinstall with MMW 1662 and MMA 168. I synched over a bunch of stuff, but had not removed any of it from the sync list before upgrading to 1664 and 171. Now I have removed an item from the list, and synched; the files were removed, but they persist in my "synched to Tab" smart playlist.

Re: Smartlist criterion "Synced to" needs Android device
As always, I only use wi-fi; I haven't plugged the tablet in for months.
Possibly that wi-fi only connectivity is responsible for this symptom.
Today I upgraded to MMW 1671 and MMA 185. I went into the options of MMA: both the External and Internal storage profiles showed as "Never synced" but the External profile, which was brand new with MMA 182, had actually been sync'd a couple times. There was no problem establishing the sync and using the same profile in MMW -- and, after syncing, the album that was removed from the tablet but still showed in the autoplaylist, was no longer in the autoplaylist.
Hopefully, I edited the options to remove two albums and add one more, and those were deleted and copied over correctly; but the autoplaylist continues to show the recently deleted albums. Only the album that was removed using 182 has been removed from the autoplaylist.

Re: Smartlist criterion "Synced to" needs Android device
Hi, it should work fine over WiFi, because MMA tells its content to MMW on each WiFi sync start. So probably you just need to perform one more sync to update the "synced to tablet" ?
Re: Smartlist criterion "Synced to" needs Android device
Hi Ludek,
I removed another album from the sync list, and then captured a log of it syncing, and then viewing the autoplaylist.
Now the two albums I removed yesterday are not in the autoplaylist, but the album I just removed is still there.
I can open a ticket with the log, if you want.

Re: Smartlist criterion "Synced to" needs Android device
Yes, as I said, MMA tells the actual content to MMW on each WiFi sync start, but the album is removed later during sync by MMA.
Therefore the album is removed from the "synced to" on subsequent sync, this is small bug that we overlooked.
i.e. workaround is to perform one more sync

Re: Smartlist criterion "Synced to" needs Android device
I think the workaround only works if there's a change in the sync list. Just immediately syncing again doesn't fix it.Ludek wrote:i.e. workaround is to perform one more sync
The problem is only with deletions, tho. If I add another album and then sync, the db gets to where it should be.
