...to show in ZEN Media Explorer
I.e. ZME's My Playlists node does not show them and ZME's Manage Playlists (with no other playlists) says "No playlist is available for editing, do you want to create a new playlist?"
They do show on the ZEN. ZEN-created and ZME-created playlists do show on the ZEN.

This is not a fault of MM, the only way you will get the playlists to show using the CME is to use the Creative software, no other third party's playlists will show otherwise (and I have tried several). I have both the Vision M and the new Zen and each CME only works with CME.

May I ask what leads you to that conclusion?

I'm using what's called the Creative ZEN Media Explorer, rather than "CME".

Well, I am using Creative software and still don't see the third-party (MM) playlists.

I am lead to that conclusion because I have not found any other software besides Creative's software that will let me sync back from my player(s).chrisjj wrote:Nyn

CME = Creative Media Explorer. I have three different Zen's and three different versions of the Media Explorer software, none will see any other playlists except those made using Creative's software.chrisjj wrote:> the only way you will get the playlists to show using the CME is to use

My point exactly!! Creative does not recognize playlists made by any other software except their own.chrisjj wrote:> no other third party's playlists will show otherwise

Did you really mean /otherwise/? Because you seem to be saying that like me you can't get other party playlists to show even /using/ Creative software.

What I meant to say is the only way you will get playlists to show within the Media Explorer is to use the Media Explorer or MediaSource to create them. If you have figured out a way to get them to show, there are lots of others here would would like to know how.

I don't know how much of a high priority it is to create a Creative specific device plugin such as the Ipods has, but it wouldn't hurt for you to add your vote to the topic which is in the Wishlist.chrisjj wrote:
Let's wait and see whether this is due to a MM bug that can be fixed.

Nyn, Thanks for the suggestion, but I'd rather give my vote to fixing up the generic plug-in (at least until its known than this is not possible) than to creating a ZEN-specific plug-in.
Thanks also for your concise description of the playlist track loss problem http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 919#125919 to which I've linked from http://wiki.tango.info/mul/MediaMonkey .
