1 - If I download only a few episodes of a podcast, the remaining episodes are greyed out (because they are not downloaded yet). But MM adds all the episodes to the current playlist if I start playing one of the downloaded episodes. After playing the downloaded episodes it trys to play the not downloaded until it reaches a downloaded again. This trying is slow and when I try to halting it while pushing the pause button MM crashes.
2 - There are some podcasts that have just one entry that is updated daily. So every day a new episode with a new GUID is build, but the XML File has just one entry. MM fails to notice the new episode and I have to delete the entry manually and refresh/download it. An example is here
Thank you for your feedback,
re item 1)
We have been planning the "Play all in Podcast node shouldn't add Greyed out tracks to Now Playing ", but we are planning it for the future version because we are waiting for user feedback (like your) - we are not sure that all users would prefer this.
Nevertheless if you have an internet access then the not downloaded (grayed out) episodes shoud be played like a radio streams without crashing MM.
I cannot reproduce the crashing, are there any detailed steps to reproduce or is it specific to a podcast?
re 1: I see, I'm sitting actually behind a very strict firewall (an Microsoft ISA Server) and probably another port than 80 ist used for the streaming (or the proxy settings are not read correctly), and this block MM. Normal Radio Streaming also doesn't work. An option to turn of the automatic adition would be great.
re 2: Great - I managed now to set the "validity" to 1 day. The file gets deleted but the download does not start automatically.
Adding the option to not play un-downloaded episodes would be good.
Personally, I almost never use the Play Now feature for podcasts or other tracks. Including everything in the current selection and and replacing the current Play Now selections is almost never what I want to happen.

for some reason I am only getting the five latest episodes to download although I entered in the settings to download all the podcasts...this happens with all of the podcasts I am entering. Is there a fix?

Did you check that the individual podcasts also have the option to download all? When you change the general settings those for existing podcasts will not be changed.
