Clicking on Performance entry under General returns this error message on Q6600 Vista x64

I want to use multiple core syncing :(

I was unable to reproduce on Vista 32, can you list the steps which you took before receiving the error?

I can't see how you could get this error.

How many CPU cores do you have?
Are you gold user?
What is the exact error message ? Index out of bounds(-1) ?
Could you post a screenshot?

Thx.

I got the log, but this is really strange. From the log can be seen that you are using non-skinned version, does the problem appear also when using skinned? What is the last option sheet before clicking 'Performance' sheet? It looks like it is related to another option sheet?

Sorry I had too many weird problems with 3.1 (sort of overwhelming) so I've since gone back to 3.0.

I can answer some of your questions though:
I have a Q6600 which has 4 cores
I am a gold user (it detected from previous reg settings (I think) if that matters)
I am 90% sure it said Index out of bounds (5) but I don't have a screen shot
This was with the non-skinned version

I'm not sure what you mean by the last option sheet, but I didn't click on anything else after opening preferences so I assume it's the top of the "general" sheet.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

If I go to skinned and change it and then back to non-skinned I cannot access options.

Still present in the lastest build 1209.

Can I get some help on this issue? Can others with Quad cores on 64 Vista confirm it's just me?

Still present in latest build (1227). Will this be fixed?

Hard to fix when no one else can reproduce the problem.. please try to provide another debug log and/or give some more details about what is going on.

I've sent many debug logs. I can't imagine anything else you'd like me to provide--you name it, I'll send it. Has anyone tried this on similar hardware? Quad core on Vista 64?

here's a screen shot from this process (absolutely nothing else was done):
1) start media monkey skinless via shortcut to "C:\Program Files (x86)\MediaMonkey\MediaMonkey.exe"
2) let start up file monitor run
3) let start up sync to ipod touch run
4) tools -> options (starts on the general tab)
5) click on performance tab
6) error pops up
7) screenshot:

If I click "don't send" I can continue using MM but the options dialog no longer works properly and I'll continue to get errors or blank screens.

Thank you,
I have been able to simulate this and you are right the error is there (if you use more than 2 CPU cores and non-skinned version).

Entered as
http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=5397

And will be fixed in the next build.

Hurrah, thanks Ludek! May I ask what piece of information was missing (or did you just get around to it? ..understandable too)?
