1207 "Table of Contents of CD-ROM [X]:" Cancel [5148]

Post by chrisjj »

Could the

Table of Contents of CD-ROM [X]: was not read successfully.

error dialog (and any other similars) please have a Cancel button??

Once MM starts playing a CD and giving this error, it is a real PITA to have to press OK on /every/ track before I can get control back.

Thanks.

Chriss, I doubt that you can play a CD if the Table of Contents of CD-ROM [X]: was not read successfully. I guess that such a CD is not playable, right? Could you clarify? If the CD is playable, could you send me a log?

Agreed.

Right.

And though I can sort of see why MM continues down the duff CDs tracklist, I can see why other would not want it to abort the Now Playing list.

http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=5148 says resolved - thanks

Sorry I cannot test it because mysteriously MM 1208 does not show TOC errors for the CD for which 1207 did show errors. If this is due to an improvement in MM CD handling (though none seen on the chagelog) I'd be interested to know.

Regardless, next time I find a CD for which the current version shows errors, I will test.

I have a stack of about a dozen CDs I am ripping this weekend in 1210. Assuming no problems seen, then the ticket will be closed.

If you see no TOC problems, you'll be making no test of this new feature.
