1207 Move dup track in playlist mislocate selection [5159]

When in a playlist tracklist window, I drag and drop to move an entry referring to the same file as an entry lower down the list, MM's move of the selection goes not to the entry moved, but to the lower entry.

E.g. on

Code: Select all

1 thistrack
2 thattrack
3 thistrack

drag 1 to 2/3, and MM selects not 2 but 3.

This is particular PTA for users like me who have a many occurences of the same spacer track in long playlists.

EDIT: This does no happen in Now Playing.

I can confirm this behavior on 1208.

MediaMonkey will always select the last occurrence of the duplicate in the playlist.

Additional when creating the duplicate by selecting a track in the playlist and using Send To > Playlist to the same playlist the duplicate track get's the same # and moving tracks up & down doesn't update this # unlike with other tracks.

Confirmed.. except in the case of moving the added track itself.

Additionally, Select All then Delete appears to work, but reselecting the list show the duplicated tracks surviving!

I selected one copy of a duplicate track, deleted it and it was gone, returning to the list shows that they other copy is also removed.

The issue seems that the duplicate tracks aren't individual tracks on the playlist, but somehow related which is causing all this strange behavior around duplicate tracks.
