1209 Back/Forw fails to preserve multiple track .... [6874]

Post by chrisjj »

Given http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=4830
When user will use back/forward in history, only prev/next main tree node is selected and could be nice to have prev/next tracks selections as well
is marked"fixed", ISTM this failure is a bug.

EDIT(TC) Tracked at http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=6874

Only last focused track is remembered.

Not reproduced here. E.g. with five selected and the last focused, Back + Forw leaves only the first selected.

It is also incredibly slow - e.g. the list of 12,000 tracks appears and then about 1.5s goes by before the scroll and selection are imposed. Even if I've started work on the list during that period.

I can reproduce what CrissJJ reports although I would expect all tracks to be highlighted (neither last nor first alone, but all).

As related to bug 4830 I understand that MediaMonkey should no longer retain the individual track selection history, but the node history like pre 3.1. Do I understand Rusty's note incorrect or is that not fixed in 1212.
Yes--the current behaviour (in which the 'back'/'forward' buttons retain a history of individual tracks within a node) is unexpected.

e.g.
-Click an Artist A
-Click another Artist B
-Click 3 different tracks within Artist B
-Press 'Back'
-->MM currently switches to the second Track by Artist B, but the user would expect that MM would switch back to Artist A.
